This is the recipe for my mom's lasagna.
Use 10 x 13" pan
Mix Ricotta Cheese, parsley, eggs, sugar and Romano Cheese in large bowl.
Put some sauce in bottom of the pan, Layer noodles then spoon on ricotta mixture.
Then sauce, if using sausage put some now. Spoon sauce and spread around.
Put thin layer of mozzarella cheese.
Repeat and with third layer of noodles just top with sauce and moz cheese.
Cover with foil trying to keep it from hitting the cheese with toothpicks etc.
Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees, then remove foil and bake until bubbly and the ricotta cheese sets up (grows and firms)
Makes 2 large pans of lasagna. Serves 20
