Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs and vanilla and beat at medium speed until fluffy and creamy. Sift dry ingredients , add to mixture with hands until all flour is blended in. Chill in refrigerator for half hour. Then take out and let stand at room temperature for about 10 to 15 minutes. Roll dough into one real long roll, then cut pieces(6-8 depending on size.) Roll each piece of dough into long round pieces and place in a greased cookie sheet width wise. Grease cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degree for 30 minutes. Slice each roll, sprinkle or roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture and return to oven until brown. No more then 10 minutes.
Let cool. Cut rolled logs at a diagonal and serve.
