Cut into even hockey puck size discs
Heat 100ml of vegetable oil carefully
Whisk the stock powder into the oil - DO NOT USE WATER
Pour over the potatoes
Add in herbs, garlic and season with salt and pepper
Top up with vegetable oil until the potatoes are almost covered
Place in 140 degree oven for 20 minutes.
Turn each potato and cook for further 20 minutes or until tender.
Use this oil again next week before discarding. Keep in fridge in a sealed container.
Take out of fridge Wednesday before leaving the chalet.
