Suggest a better descriptionIn a large saucepan heat oil. Sautee onions and garlic. Add carrots, stir and cover. Cook for 5 mins.
Add lentils, broth, bay leaf, parsley, cumin, thyme, pepper and saffron. Cover and cook over low heat for 1 hr until lentils are soft and tender. Add salt and lemon juice. Take out half of coup, use hand mixer and blend. Mix blended half with non blended half.
