Combine the first 5 ingredients in a 3-quart saucepan.
Cook over moderate heat, string constantly, till chocolate and marshmallows melt. Bring to a full boil and boil for 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat; blend in butter and vanilla. Add graham cracker crumbs and nuts; stir till well coated.
Press into buttered 9" square pan. Chill till set - approx. 1 hour.
Cut in approx, 1-3/4" squares. Sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar, if desired.
