Put sugar, cocoa, butter, milk, and salt in a pot. Bring to a rapid boil, leave for about one minute. Then add in oats, peanut butter and vanilla. stir until well mixed. Lay out wax paper on a flat surface, place cookie-size spoonfuls on wax paper. Let cool.
