Showcase season's delicious peaches with this simple, crumb crust recipe!
Mix flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon & nutmeg. Cut in 1/3 cup butter with pastry blender, or fork, to make coarse crumbs. Preheat oven to 400°.
Press 1 cup crumb mixture into bottom and sides of greased 9" pie plate. Mix fresh peaches with 1/2 cup sugar and lemon rind.
Spoon peaches over pressed crust and spread evenly. Cover top with remaining crumb mixture. Lightly press everything down. Bake at 400° for 45 minutes, just lightly browning on top.
