Add boiling water to oatmeal & let stand 20 minutes. Cream together butter & sugars and add eggs. Add oatmeal mixture. Add next 4 dry ingredients and vanilla.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes in lasagna pan. Stir together the last four ingredients and spread over hot cake. Broil a couple minutes till coconut is toasted.
