In a lg bowl, stir brown sugar and butter until blended.
Stir in vanilla and egg and mix until light and fluffy.
Stir in oats, flour and baking soda.
Stir in chocolate chips
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown
