Moist, chewy oatmeal cookies filled with goodies like chocolate chips, raisins, cranberries, or nuts. Diced walnuts or a grated Hershey milk chocolate bar make great additions too.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars with an electric mixer or wooden spoon until smooth.
Stir in eggs and vanilla.
In separate bowl, combine oatmeal, flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda
Mix wet and dry ingredients together, if desired add grated Hershey bar
Stir in chips or raisins and nuts
Drop by rounded teaspoons two inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet
Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown
