Wholesome muffin
Source: The Fannie Farmer Cookbook (slightly modified by me)
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Grease the muffin pan (doesn't work as well with paper muffin cups)
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt
Cook oatmeal on the stove (1 cup water, 1/2 cup oats, raisins) until oatmeal is ready to be eaten (5 minutes)
Stir the milk, egg and butter into the oatmeal.
Combine the two mixtures and mix well.
Spoon the batter into the muffin cups and cook for 15 - 20 min.
