Peanut Butter Bars
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix oats, butter, corn syrup, ,
vanilla and brown sugar together and spread into a 9 x 13 pan
sprayed with non stick cooking spray (be sure and spray it w
ell, so the bars don’t stick).
Bake 7 minutes.
Topping:
In a saucepan, melt and stir together the peanut butter a
nd chocolate chips; pour over bars. Allow bars to set by plac
ing them in the refrigerator or freezer (but not for too long
). It should be clear when they are ready to cut (i.e., the t
opping shouldn’t be sliding all over).
(Makes about 12-16
bars, depending on how big you make them.)
