Suggest a better description1. Combine the onion and 1 teaspoon of salt in a bowl. Toss to combine. Transfer to a colander and let sit for 30 minutes. Transfer the onions to a clean towel and squeeze the
liquid from the onions.
2. Divide the onions into 4 separate mounds on a baking sheet. For the beef into 4 lightly packed balls. Place the beef on the onion mounds and flatten the beef firmly so the
onion adheres to the beef. Season the beef with your choice of seasonings.
3. Melt the butter with the oil in a 12 Cast Iron skillet over medium heat. Transfer the patties to the skillet, onion side down. Cook 6 to 8 Minutes until the onion turns golden
brown.
4. Flip the burgers, increase the heat to high and cook until well browned. Add the cheese and cook until melted. Transfer to the bun and serve.
