Great beefy flavor, thick and hearty. Great with corn bread served on the side.
Coat meat with seasoned flour. Brown in large skillet or dutch oven. Add water and heat to boiling. Add 1 tablespoon salt, 2 beef bouillon cubes and 1 bay leaf. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 2 hours. Stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer an addtiional 30 mins or until the vegetables are tender.
I have tried making this in the crock pot, but prefer making it stovetop instead. Thicken if necessary by blending water and flour together and stirring into the stew. Allow to simmer until it reaches the desired consistency.
