Suggest a better descriptionIn a large bowl beat two eggs. Add milk and water and sugar. Sift in the flour, use less than you think to start, with the baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Combine ingredients thoroughly, but do not stir more than you need to. Dough should be stickier than you might think. You should not be able to knead it.
Scrape dough out of bowl onto liberally covered counter top. Sift more flour on top and pat down to a strong half inch thick.
Cut doughnuts as closely as possible. Dough should not be rolled out more than twice or it will be too hard.
Stretch each donut gently and shake off excess flour. Cook in 375 degree fat. Should be lard or veggie oil.turn with a stick when the side you can see rises up and breaks open. Dry on paper towel.
