Suggest a better descriptionCream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time and beat well.
Mix flour, salt and baking powder. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Pour into greased tube cake pan.
Bake in preheated oven at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
Don't open oven until cake has cooked 1 hour and 15 minutes.
