you can add any other topping to this from mushrooms to jalapenos to diced ham it smoked sausage
first i dice all the bell peppers and onions together mix and take out 3 cups and place in bowl
then i shread all potatoes with the skin on mix in bowl with veggies and add all my spices
then i fry on high heat just long enough to give it a golden look i then dont flip but stirr the food in frying pan and top with a lid and turn heat on med low to steam the rest of the dish when all the potatoes are soft i then top out my cheese on top place lid on turn stove off and allow the cheese to melt when this is done i mix in cheese and serve
if you add ground sausage or hamburger meat this is a delicious meal this dish has many many different ways to be made have fun with new toppings and enjoy
you can also take real bacon bits cheddar cheese ranch pack onion tomatoes basil and mix and make a wonderful dish
so many possibility's this is for a creative cook
