2. In a zip lock bag one hour before frying, coat rings in corn starch.
3.mix the first five ingredients in a shallow bowl. Dip rings into batter. In a deep-fat fryer at 375 degrees fry onion rings in batches until golden brown. 1 to 1 1/2 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
