Suggest a better descriptionMelt butter and oil. Add onions cut into thin rings and cook. Add sugar and flour. Stir lightly while adding consomme and water. Simmer on low heat approximately 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season. Add white wine. Pour into soup bowls. Top with a slice of toasted bread, 125g of grated mozzarella and 2 tbsp of grated parmesan. Bake in oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes. Four servings.
