Suggest a better descriptionCut shortening into cake mix. Add eggs, mix well. Use a heaping teaspoonful and mold into little round balls. Place about two inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-9 minutes. Do not wait for cookies to go flat. Transfer to and cool on wire racks.
Whip cream cheese and butter together until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes). Add powdered sugar in small amounts and mix on low speed between each addition until entire amount is incorporated. Then mix on high for an additional 2 minutes to make fluffy. Stir in vanilla.
Spread frosting between two cookies.
Best the next day.
