Melt butter, then add to crushed Oreo cookies and flatten on a large glass sheet-cake pan, pat down to make a crust. Slice vanilla ice cream and lay on top of oreo crust. Pour Hersheys syrup over vanilla ice cream. Spread cool whip on top of cake. Cover with tin foil and freeze over night.
