In a sheet pan, lay out one layer of butter (about four pieces) and repeat with about 8 layers total. The 8 layers with 4 tbs of nut mix spread over the layers, then 8-10 layers on top. Every layer is buttered, butter corners well.
Cut into diamonds and sprinkle water on top. Bake at 325 degrees F until brown (about an hour to 90 min). While baking mix syrup and boil lightly for 10 minutes. Pour hot syrup on Baklava and serve.
