This is great over any type of pasta, but is also really good over Spaghetti Squash Noodles!
In a sauce pot on the stove top w. just a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil cook onion, red bell pepper, garlic, and herbs 'til tender over medium heat. Add the ground venison and cook just 'til the meat's no longer pink. Add the red cooking wine and let cook 'til the wine has nearly all evaporated. Pop this into your slow cooker and add the rest of the ingredients. Combine well. Pop the lid on your crock pot and set to low for six to eight hours -cook 'til the sauce is nice and thick- with a slotted spoon remove fireweed stocks and bay leaf. Enjoy over pasta of your choice. Garnish w. Genovese Red Freddy Basil, parsley and your choice of herbs 'n' edible blooms. Awesome over home made from scratch Mac 'n' Cheese!
If you haven't low brush juniper berries - use a tablespoon of gin.
