Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees
Toss the asparagus with the oil and season with the salt and papper
Transfer the asparagus to the air fryer basket and air fry at 400 degrees for 5 minutes.
Shake the basket to turn the asparagus once during the 5 minutes.
Test asparagus - we like it cooked for 3 more minutes.
Once cooked to your liking, sprinkle the asparagus generously with the parmesan cheese.
Close air fryer drawer again.
Let the asparagus sit for 1 minute in the turned off air fryer.
Remove the asparagus, transfer it to a serving dish and finish with a grind of black pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice (maybe a bit more parm too).
