Cut whole boneless chicken breasts into halves, if necessary to make them thinner. Whole breasts will not cook properly. Thoroughly rinse chicken.
Coat a frying pan with the olive oil and begin preheating on medium heat. When cheese sizzles when dropped into the frying pan, it's hot.
While the pan is heating, crunch up the croutons into a powder, then add the parmesan cheese. Coat both sides of chicken well.
Place the chicken in the pan. ONLY TURN ONCE, if possible. The likelihood of the crust coming off of the chicken becomes more likely the more you flip it. Once the cheese is golden brown, and the inside of the chicken is done, remove the chicken.
Serve the chicken over fettuccini noodles and cover with Alfredo sauce (optional).
Try not to turn the chicken more often than necessary.
