Suggest a better descriptionFry salt pork and pour off nearly all the fat. Add potatoes and enough water to cover. Boil until partly done; then add equal amount of sliced parsnips. Cook 10 to 12 minutes longer. Thicken with a small amount of flour; season with salt and pepper. Add milk and a piece of butter.
Serve hot.
