What a great way to serve bread. Cheesy and gooey
Mix the butter, onion, seasoned salt and poppy seeds in bowl. Set aside. Put bread in center of foil lined baking sheet.
Cut deep diagonal slits across bread in both directions, creating a diamond patter. Don't cut all the way through the loaf.
Spread the slits open and fill with 4 cups cheese,the mushrooms and ham. Spoon the butter mixture evenly over the top of the bread, getting it into the slits.
Put a piece of foil on top and secure to the bottom pieces of foil, completely encasing the loaf. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Srpinkle with additional cheese if you like. You can use any type of cheese in this recipe. I'm partial to mozzarella, but cheddar works well, also
