Gluttonous, rich, and tasty through and through. Ham, chicken, and bacon. Super easy to make and delicious.
1. Coat bottom of 13x9 Pyrex pan with cooking spray
2. Line bottom of pan with ham slices
3. Mix sour cream and cream of mushroom soup in small bowl
4. Spread small amount of mixed sour cream and cream of mushroom soup to just cover ham slices
5. Top ham with chicken breasts
6. Use remaining soup mixture to cover chicken
7. Place bacon slices on top
8. Bake uncovered at 275 for 2.5 hours
9. Baste a few times in the last hour or so, you may want to siphon off some of the bacon grease before basting
This is the first meal I ever made for my future wife and has become known since, as "Love Chicken."
Spoon gravy over white rice and serve with peas on the side, always a nice combo.
I like to stab the chicken repeatedly with a fork to ensure that the flavors seep into it. I may use a little extra bacon than the original recipe calls for because, hey, it's bacon.
