Suggest a better descriptionMix sugar and cinnamon
Put pecans in large pot with large bottom surface area
Pour in sugar mixture
Add vanilla to the 1/4 cup water and pour over pecans and sugar
Mix together well
Over medium high heat bring to a boil while stirring constantly
Lower heat to medium and boil for 5-10 minutes
When it thickens to the point that it's hard to stir, remove from heat
Sprinkle with the tablespoon of water to cool it down quickly
Keep stirring to separate pecans
Stir until most of the water is gone
Spread onto baking sheet, stir to separate until they begin to harden
Let sit until hard and put in a bowl to enjoy - or - let cool and put in a jar or tin for gifting
