peel garlic , cut into slices and add to bowl. let marinate tossing once or twice for 30 minutes
meanwhile cook pasta until al dente
remove garlic from tomatoes if desired.
drain pasta and add to bowl, toss to mix
season to taste with salt and pepper
when cool enough stir in mozzarella
cut basil until shreds and stir in before serving
