Suggest a better descriptionHeat the oven to 400F. Beat the egg and water in a small bowl with a fork or whisk.
Unfold a single pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Let thaw for 45 minutes.
Optional: Sprinkle the almonds and parsley on top of the sheet.
Optional: Spread raspberry jam on the sheet to about 2" to the edge. Spinkle with dried cranberries and almonds.
Optional: Spread the sheet with mixed dried cherries, toasted pecans, ? cup honey and ?tsp rosemary.
Place the cheese in the center of the sheet. Fold the pastry up over the cheese to cover. Trim the excess pastry and press to seal. Brush the seam with the egg mixture. Place seam-side down onto the baking sheet. Decorate the top with pastry scraps, if desired (example: Make a bow). Brush with the egg mixture.
Bake for 25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown. Let stand for 20 minutes. Serve with the crackers.
