AKA cheesy potatoes adapted from Pat's Aunt Florence. Free form clean out the cheese drawer recipe. Pat says be careful with spicy cheeses if added. This is a large party sized batch. Reduce if needed
Saute onion in butter with a little garlic salt.
In a large bowl mix potatoes.....thawed is ok........sprinkle milk and bisquick and stir in
Stir in mushroom soup and 1/2 of the shredded cheese
Stir in onions and butter. Season as desired
Stir in sour cream.
BE brave and mix with your hands but it will be cold!!!!!! ooh cold !!!!! Have warm water ready to warm your hands after.
Place mixture in a pan and smooth out but not too thin of a layer or the taters will dry out.
Sprinkle with rest of cheese.
Bake at 350 till done and golden
Variations: the more goo the better....velveeta....cheez whiz.....whatever you need to use up. Clear out that fridge joyfully. Have some fun but don't get too crazy...........not ghost peppers please.
