Combine 4 heaping cups of peaches, 1 cup of sugar, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil and then simmer.
Stir flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until well mixed.
Melt butter in 9 x 13 pan in oven - pour flour mixture then pour in peaches. DO NOT STIR.
Cook on 350 for 40 minutes.
