Classic peanut brittle is a holiday classic.
Combine syrup, sugar and water. Bring to 230-degrees on candy thermometer or until syrup spins a thread.
Add peanuts and continue to cook to 300-degrees.
Remove from heat.
Add butter, vanilla, soda and salt.
Stir until blended.
Pour into a well-buttered jelly roll pan (15x10x1) and cool.
Crack into pieces for serving.
