From my late mother's copy of "Favorite Recipes of the Aetna Girls," August, 1975 [Toledo, Ohio]. This recipe submitted by Grace Marinelli, Secretarial Dept. [N. B.: I have not made this recipe.]
Mix brown & white sugar with milk. Add butter & cook until soft ball forms in cold water or 235 on candy therm. Just before removing from fire, add marshmallows and peanut butter & stir until almost melted. Remove from fire, add vanilla & nuts. Beat until candy begins to thicken (about 1 min.) Pour into pan.
[Note this is copied verbatim from 1975 text, and I have not made it.]
