Put margarine in bowl with sugar. Beat until the mixture is soft and light.
Add the flour and peanuts and stir in the vanilla essence. Make a soft dough.
Roll the dough into plum sized balls and place apart on a well greased baking tray, then flatten the balls with a fork.
Bake for about 15 mins, until golden at 180C.
