Rinse the Split Peas.
Put the Split Peas & the water in a thick bottomed pan and bring to the boil.
Trun off the heat and allow Peas to steep for 4 hours.
Add the Stock Cude and bring the Peas back to the boil.
Simmer until the peas break down and the mix reaches a medium consistancy. To reduce cooking time whizz in a liquidiser.
Pour into storge tubs and allow to cool.
When cooled store in the refrigerator. It can also be frozen.
