Heat oven to 350(F). Grease 9 x 13 pan. Reserve 2/3C of the cake mix for filling. In a large bowl, combine remaining cake mix, butter and egg at low speed until well mixed. Press into bottom of pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until light brown.
In a large bowl, combine reserved cake mix, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla and eggs at low speed until moistened. Beat 1 minute at medium speed or until well blended. Pour filling mixture over warm crust; sprinkle with pecans. Bake an additional 30-35 minutes or until filling is set. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Refrigerate.
