Suggest a better descriptionHeat oil in large frying pan. Brown cubed beef (seasoned with salt and pepper) on all sides. Add flour and cook 1-2 minutes more. Place in crock on top of potatoes and carrots. Using same pan, add a little more oil and lightly saute mushrooms. Add everything left to slow cooker and cook on LOW for 7 to 8 hours. Stir and add more salt to taste if needed. Serve.
This is good with a side garden salad, cut citrus fruit and crusty bread.
