Suggest a better descriptionPlace peppermint candies in a food processor & pulse until finely ground. Transfer to a heavy 2-quart saucepan, add milk & bring just to a simmer, stirring.
Remove from heat & add chocolate; let stand 2 minutes. Whisk until chocolate is melted & incorporated, about 2 minutes. Add 1 cup water & bring just to a simmer, stirring. Pour into mugs & garnish with candy canes, if desired.
4 1/2 ounces = 25-26 round hard peppermint candies
