Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a bowl mix flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, milk and vanilla.Stir until smooth. Spread evenly in a 9x13 baking dish. It will be a thin layer.Scatter pineapple chunks evenly over batter. Bake until pineapple has fallen to the bottom and top is puffed and golden brown about 25 minutes.Cool slightly and serve with ice cream on top or whipped cream.
