This delicious and flavorful tea is a perfect beverage for a hot summer day

In a 2-quart saucepan, combine 1 quart water and the sugar. Place over high heat and bring to a boil. Stir to help dissolve sugar and then turn off the heat and add tea bags. Let tea step and infuse for at least 20-30 minutes. Remove the tea bags , squeeze gently. When tea base has cooled to room temperature, pour it into a pitcher and add the fold water and pineapple juice. Stir to mix well.
Serve over ice, and garnish with fresh mint and a pineapple edge if desired.
