1. preheat over to 450F
2. Heat butter and oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions, 1 T fresh thyme, sale and pepper, and cook, stirring occassionally, until onions begin to wilt, about 10 minutes. Add sugar, lower heat, and continue cooking until onions are soft and brown, abotu 15 minutes.
3. Place pizza crust on a baking sheet. SPrinkle with Fontina cheese and top with chicken and onion mixture. Bake 10 to 15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbling. Sprinkle remianing thyme and chive over pizza, and slide into wedges.
