An elegant dessert without all of the fat and carbs.
Place the Fruit Juice, Sugar, Spices and Zest into a sauce pot, stir and heat with Medium-High heat on the stove. Peel the Pears, cut a bit off the bottom to create a flat side that the pear can stand up on - then add to the pot. Poach the pears in the simmering liquid on the stove until fork tender - 20-30 minutes. Remove from the heat, and carefully remove pear with plastic tongs or spoon and present standing up on plate. It can be served with ice cream or garnished with nuts - be creative.
