Wash potatoes well, slice thinly and place in an oven-porrf casserole.
Slice onions thinly land saute in the butter and distribute evenly over the potatoes. Pour chicken stock over the potatoes and onions and bake at 450 degrees for 40 minutes.
Before baking you can place sausages on top of the potato mixture and bake - wonderful one pot meal.
