Place coconut oil into a large saucepan (I use a Dutch Oven). add 5 popcorn kernels. put lid on saucepan and place pan on high heat.
Listen carefully until you hear the popping. Take pan off heat and quickly toss in 1/3 cup of popcorn. put lid on immediately and shake things about. Wait 60 seconds. This allows all the kernels to heat up equally.
Put back onto heat and listen until the popping slows down. Take off heat, toss with toppings and serve.
You never have any burnt or unpopped popcorn using this method.
