Suggest a better description1. Bring 3 quarts of water to boil in a pot. Reduce heat to medium, and place the cubed chicken in the water. Let the chicken boil for about 20 minutes, until the chicken is no longer pink in the center. Remove the chicken, discard the water.
2. While the chicken is boiling, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Crush the 1.5 sleeves of crackers, set 1/3 aside for topping.
3. Combine 2/3 of the crushed crackers, 8 oz of sour cream, 1 can of cream of chicken soup, and the chicken; and place the mixture evenly into a 9x9 baking dish.
4. Cover the top of the mixture with the shredded cheese.
5. Melt the butter, and mix with the remaining 1/3 of the crushed crackers, and the 1 tlbs of poppy seeds. Cover the cheese and chicken mixture with the breaded topping.
6. Sprinkle the top with poppy seeds, if desired.
7. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes, or until cheese has melted.
