From my late mother's copy of "Favorite Recipes of the Aetna Girls," August, 1975 [Toledo, Ohio]. This recipe submitted by Linda Meyer, Customer Service Dept. [N. B.: I have not made this recipe.]
Pork chops & potatoes according to servings.
Brown pork chops in large skillet in small amount of vegetable shortening. Brown quickly on both sides. Slice potatoes & onions in large flat baking pan as for scalloped potatoes. Salt & pepper to taste. Place browned pork chops on top of potatoes, pouring drippings from pan over potatoes. Add enough milk to cover. Salt & pepper. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hr. turning pork chops once to brown on both sides. Serve hot.
