Outstanding pork & cabbage casserole. One of my favorites. It tastes much better than it sounds!
Boil chopped cabbage in a lightly salted water for 5 to 6 minutes to get slightly soft. Saute chopped onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons of butter. Add cabbage to cooked onion and garlic. Salt and pepper both sides of pork chops. Brown pork chops with 1 tablespoon butter in saute pan. Remove pork chops from saute pan and add wine. Reduce wine to 1/4 cup. Place pork chops and cabbage to large casserole dish. Add reduced wine and heavy cream to casserole dish. Lightly salt and pepper. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1-1/2 hours. Remove cover and sprinkle cheese and bread crumbs on top. Bake another 1/2 hour. Enjoy.
