Suggest a better descriptionCook bacon until crisp, remove from pan and crumble. Cook onion in part of bacon grease. Add broth, water, and potatoes. Cook until potatoes are done. Stir in milk. If necessary, thicken with corn starch and water. Add bacon, salt and pepper, top with grated cheese.
